For a one-time cost, the most effective and modern form of pet identification is having your fur baby microchipped. Microchips can neither fade nor fall off for they are implanted by your veterinarian between the loose skin of your pet’s shoulders. This form of pet identification is most widely recommended in the veterinary community; hospitals, shelters and SPCA’s who receive large amounts of stray animals make sure to check for a microchip regularly.
My dog is also chipped, that is what we do in the Netherlands also.
